🥗 Content

  • 250 gms green beans (chawli/boda), washed and chopped

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1 pinch asafoetida

  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp ginger paste

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice or dried mango powder (optional)

👩🍳 Method of making

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add asafoetida and cumin seeds to it.

  2. When the cumin seeds crackle, add ginger paste and fry for 1 minute.

  3. Add chopped beans and fry for 2 minutes.

  4. Add all the spices (turmeric, red chilli, coriander powder, salt) and mix well.

  5. Cover and cook on low flame for 10-12 minutes, keep stirring in between.

  6. When it becomes soft, turn off the gas and add lemon juice.

  • Do not overcook the vegetables to keep them crisp

  • You can add garam masala to enhance the taste
